I was lucky enought to score a disection kit- complete w/ fish,frog, worm and crawfish and all the goods to disect them, from a friend who does home schooling. Although I WAS NOT excited to take part in the disection I knew Emma and John would be. Emma thought it was pretty cool to have all the stuff infront of her and really enjoyed the entire process. Not once did I see her flinch or get grossed out. She cut, pulled, poked and peeled away most of that fish within an hour. She lost me at "hey Dad what do you think is inside his eyeball"? John replied, "I don't know lets take it out!" BARF Im out of here. I told her she was going to make some girl in High School very happy in their biology class when she doesn't have to do any work on disection day.
